The TREE Research & Technology Centre is mainly responsible for developing cost effective production of formulations for prime biofuels products – biodiesel, biogas & biojet - which will be marketed under the TREE brand, “RenGaz” by FūelBank™. Biodiesel, Biogas & Biojet will be made from formulations derived by using advanced thermo-plasma technologies, ensuring high quality and consistency by processing MSW, plastics and tires.
New environmental regulations place a heavy global demand for these products, of which currently only 1% is fulfilled. Careful attention is paid to customer needs by taking into account both functional requirements and legislative demands. Support is also provided on safety, health and environmental issues related to the handling of petroleum products.
The TREE R&D center’s main focus is in applied research where in-depth investigations are carried out into future technical requirements of biofuel products in relation to processing & refining operations, including customer and legislative demands. As the central technical facility, TREE Research & Technology Centre will be responsible for all new biofuels product development, product specifications, safety data sheets, quality control procedures and the specification of most of the purchased materials.
The center will also provide quality control for TREE’s terminal operations. In addition to testing and certificating all final products in and out of the facility, we will cooperate in problem solving, optimizing the daily operation of the tank farm units, pipeline transfers and selecting new test techniques. For all these activities TREE Research & Technology employs specialists in petroleum products, backed by physical, analytical, chemical and performance test laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art instruments.
